The VERA (VEstal Review Award) is organised to reward a flash fiction story that is under 500 words. The flash fiction story should have been published by a print or an online magazine in the year before the contest. This means that only 2016 works are eligible for nomination this year.
This is the third annual VEstal Review Award, and VERA is asking editors to nominate a flash fiction under 500 words. The winning selection will be given a cash prize of $100 and a publication in VEstal Review. The runner-up entry will be published in VEstal Review at their terms and conditions. You have until September 30, 2017 to nominate a story.
